Radar

Consilium radars offer a number of uniquely advanced facilities and functions as standard fare:• Radar Maps: True and relative mapping with different types and colours of map lines and symbols. • Parallel Index Lines: a valuable tool for navigating in restricted waters. • Trial Manoeuvring: Instantly and graphically shows the effect that an own-ship course or speed alteration will have on targets’ relative movements.

Consilium radar product family consist of the Selux ARPA radar. The Selux radar is the fifth generation ARPA radar with a versatile architecture opened to software and hardware upgrades to cope with a more and more increasing demand for new navigation aids. The new Selux display with a user-friendly man-machine interface allows the activations of all functions by simply using the track-ball to point and click virtual push-buttons displayed on the screen.

Selux radars employ proprietary tracking algorithms upon which the ship’s operator can depend for positive collision avoidance. Up to 40 high-speed targets can be acquired. Selux radars can present up to 100 AIS targets. All 100 AIS targets can be in sleeping or activated mode and auto acquisition/Guard zones are available for both ARPA and AIS targets.
The new Selux serie can be connected to a large variety of radar sensors, with either up mast or down mast transceivers, to form all combinations needed for operation in the X and S frequency bands.
