RCU - Remote Access and Control unit
The RCU unit communicates over a RS-485 line connected to the radios and a RS-232 line to a PC.

The remote unit is delivered together with RACS, a windows based program for remote access and control. The RACS program is used for maintenance and setup of the radios. The RS-232 connection can be extended using standard leased line or dial-up modems.

The RACS control unit is designed in a 3HU high and 19" sub-rack format. The unit has a RS-232/RS-485 interface and controls up to 64 devices.
