All Medium Frequency Compatt
5s now incorporate Fusion Wideband Technology which uses
advanced digital signaling techniques to dramatically improve
the performance of acoustic positioning, navigation and
telemetry systems.
Over the last two years,
Fusion Wideband Technology has been validated in an extreme
range of operational environments. This has confirmed that
the faster and more rugged wideband signals, now supported
by Compatt 5, provide the highest accuracy and therefore
the lowest risk for all subsea acoustic positioning tasks,
regardless of water depth.
Through-life costs are
reduced by greater flexibility in the utilisation of the
transponders in different system configurations and for
different applications. In addition, true multi-operation
capability enables cost savings through more efficient use
of subsea arrays.
