The SAILOR RT4822 is a
simplex/semiduplex VHF and approved for GMDSS installations.
The SAILOR RT4822 is a
part of SAILOR’s compact System 4000 GMDSS solution
and is especially suitable for the professional maritime
business. The SAILOR RT4822 is an advanced DSC unit (class
A) with all the necessary equipment built into one compact
unit. This VHF was introduced on the market in 1998 and
is today used all over the world on many different
types of vessels. It has maintained and enhanced the reputation
of SAILOR VHFs as user friendly and reliable at all times.
In April 2005 a new VHF, the RT5022, has been introduced
to the market and will continue the SAILOR legacy being
a “classic with revolutionary new features”.
The basic system
The basic system of the
SAILOR RT4822 consists of one unit only – integrated
transmitter, receiver and loudspeaker along with a handset.
The SPARC-bus interface, an advanced balanced data and AF
interface, can be used to interconnect multiple control
units.
